How We Came to Be Here

Hexenmark was established in Phuket with a straightforward purpose: to provide structured, output-focused consulting engagements to small businesses and growing teams in Thailand. The founder had worked in brand strategy and service design in European markets for over a decade before relocating to Phuket — and found that small businesses on the island often needed the same kind of methodical thinking, but without the overhead of large agency contracts.

The name Hexenmark comes from an old trade-fair tradition in Central Europe — a place where merchants gathered to make sense of markets, stock, and positioning. It felt like the right reference point: practical, deliberate, and not given to embellishment.

Today Hexenmark operates from Talat Yai, working with hospitality operators, retail brands, and professional service firms across Phuket. Engagements are small by design — scoped, priced clearly, and structured around a specific deliverable. The work is done by the consultant, not delegated to junior staff.

Sessions are prepared in advance. You should not spend time in a meeting that could have been a document, or in a workshop that has not been designed to produce something.

Our Working Standards

Every Hexenmark engagement follows a set of operational standards that keep the work clear, confidential, and useful. These are not marketing statements — they are the actual practices that shape how we work.

Confidentiality Agreement

A standard confidentiality agreement is included in every engagement letter. Client data, documents, and internal information are never shared with third parties.

Defined Scope in Writing

Each engagement starts with a written brief confirming scope, deliverables, and price. There are no verbal agreements that later expand without a formal update.

Direct Communication

Client communication is handled by the principal consultant, not a junior account manager. Responses to queries are provided within one business day.

Document Quality Review

All deliverables go through an internal review before reaching the client. Documents are checked for clarity, consistency, and completeness against the agreed brief.

Data Handling

Customer and business data shared during journey mapping or service design engagements is stored securely, used only for the stated purpose, and deleted at engagement close unless retention is agreed.

Revision Policy

Each deliverable includes one round of revisions based on client feedback. Revision requests are responded to within three business days of receipt.

Hexenmark occupies a particular niche in Phuket's business environment: structured, methodology-led consulting for organisations that are too small for large agencies and too serious about their work to muddle through without outside input. The businesses we work with typically have a strong intuition about what they do well — but less clarity about how to describe it, how to improve the experience they deliver to customers, or how to design a new offering they have been thinking about for months.

Brand positioning is often where the work starts. A business that cannot describe itself clearly in a sentence or two has a harder time training new staff, briefing a designer, or explaining itself to a potential partner. The brand positioning workshop is not about logos or colour schemes — it is about articulating the particular combination of offer, audience, and context that makes your business worth choosing. That statement, once written down, becomes a reference point for a range of other decisions.

Customer journey mapping is useful for businesses where the experience of the service is itself part of the product — which is true of most hospitality, retail, and professional service businesses. Understanding where customers first hear about you, how they decide to try you, and what happens at each subsequent point of contact is rarely something a business has mapped out explicitly. The map produced by this engagement supports better staff briefing, sharper communication, and a clearer sense of where attention is most productive.

Service design working sessions are suited to businesses that are building or refreshing a specific offering and want to do so methodically. Whether you are launching a new package, restructuring a programme, or creating a service you have not offered before, working through the key design decisions with a facilitator tends to produce a more considered result than designing by committee without structure.

Hexenmark is based in Talat Yai and works with businesses across Phuket, including Patong, Cherng Talay, Rawai, and the broader island region. Engagements are conducted in English; bilingual support can be arranged where needed.
